Susquehanna Ale Trail: Follow up to American Whiskey Trail

Central PA Rocks the Hops

Everyone knows that after a shot of whiskey you need a nice beer chaser.  Following our post on the American Whiskey Trail (found here) I figured Hooch & Hops would need to find a nice beer trail to chase down that whiskey.  The Susquehanna Ale Trail consists of seven breweries, brewpubs, and homebrew shops up and down the Susquehanna River Valley in Central Pennsylvania.

Highlights of the trail include Troegs Brewing Company and their 5000 square foot tasting room in Hersey, PA, and Lancaster Brewing Company in Lancaster, PA.  It seems like every beer that Troegs releases is above average.  From Troegenator Double Bock and Nugget Nectar, to Mad Elf and Flying Mouflan, Troegs is the New York Yankees of Central PA brewing.  Official launch of the trail passport is April 13-15 so go online now and get your trail passport.
