Head brewer Dave McLean of San Francisco’s Magnolia Brewpub knows how to cook up smiles on San Fran’s Haight Street Hippy crowd. He also knows how to pour beer and doesn’t think you do. As with other bar activities, you need to adapt your game to cater to the challenge at hand. An aggressive, or highly “aggetative”, approach isn’t going to fly with just any brewskie. As clarified by McLean, you may be able to throw the English ones around a bit, but a Belgian blonde require a gentle touch.
